FAFSA Lab on Monday, October 30
SHS/SRTC (52 Sanford HS Blvd, Sanford, ME) Room 11
5:30 pm – Create FSA ID (recommend doing this ahead of time)
6:00 pm – FAFSA Overview Presentation and Help Session to Complete the Form
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available beginning October 1. File the FAFSA as early as possible to maximize financial aid for college. Many colleges have financial aid deadlines or award aid on a first-come, first-served basis so the earlier you file, the more money you may be eligible to receive. Need help? Attend an In-Person Help Session to receive free assistance completing and filing the FAFSA at Sanford High School in Room 11.
You and your parents will receive FREE assistance completing and filing the FAFSA when you attend FAME’s In-person help-Session. The FAFSA is the first step to applying for federal aid, and is required for students who plan to pay for college with the help of federal, state, or institutional aid such as grants, scholarships, work study and loans. Don’t forget, seniors must file a FAFSA to be considered for a $1,500 State of Maine Grant.
