Early Childhood Occupations Education

Early Childhood Education focuses on the development of early childhood professional standards. Teaching students to work in a wide variety of early childhood settings such as: Head Start, Public Pre-K, Special Education, K-3 education, center and home based child care. Programs provide a foundation for careers such as psychology, specialized therapy, social working, counseling, teaching, and child advocacy.  Topics include instruction in child development and psychology, curriculum, assessment, observation, guidance, health, nutrition, safety, mandated reporting, parent relations, personnel and business management principles; related laws and policies; professional development.
